julie.io is a static file generated website and therefore has no backend and by extension no backend tracking.
First party cookies
julie.io does not directly set any cookies.
Third party cookies
julie.io use Google Analytics to collect information about visitor behaviour on the website. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. This Analytics data is not tied to personally identifiable information.
To ensure protection of your privacy, I have explicitly configured Google Analytics so:
|Google Analytics Option||Setting|
|AdWords Conversion Tracking||Disabled|
|Client ID tracking||Disabled|
|Advertising Reporting Features||Disabled|
So what are you tracking?
I want to know what I should write about, that is, what users read. So I care mostly about page views.
Given the settings above, I lose information about a user viewing a page multiple times, etc. Keeping Google Analytics allows to me have a guage of content interest, even if the data is now not accurate given the settings above.
